Clyde Frederick Moeckly

My father Clyde Moeckly (1915-1963) left the farm for opportunities in California in 1935. He later sent for my mother Phyllis Ilene Hough (1918-2004) to join him in California. They were married in 1936. The family is shown in this photo taken about 1946. Behind Clyde and Phyllis from left to right are Frederick Hollis Moeckly (1939- ), Norman Arthur Moeckly (1940-1969) and Samuel Leon Moeckly (1937-2001). Robert Harold Moeckly (1946- ) is on his father’s lap and Eileen Rose Moeckly (1945- ) is on her mother’s lap. Our mother Phyllis Hough Moeckly Smith passed away in September 2004 and is survived by her husband Willard of Johnston, Iowa.
